Other notes: The Rohini Darjeeling Tea Estate has a chequered history of tea production. It was closed for a long period of 30 years from 1962 to 1994 till the Saria family revived it and started replanting again. Out of the 138 hectares, 108 hectares features young tea bushes which were planted from 1994 onwards and which have still not attained maturity. The garden is divided into four divisions. The lower division is called Jaberhat and is around 24 Hectares. The mid elevation divisions are called Kotidhara and Pailodhora. These two divisions are around 76 Hectares together and they produce very high quality teas. These two divisions have mostly been planted with AV2 and T-78 clones. Tukuriya is the highest division which is located at an average elevation of 4400 FT and stretches right up to Kurseong town. This FTGFOP 1 – DJ11, 1ST FLUSH Rohini is from the Kotidhara division
