Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver needle) is the most prized Chinese white tea. It is made from one single bud plucked in Spring and processed naturally with minimal production steps. Bai Hao Yin Zhen has a sword-like shaped body and is fully covered with white pekoe. Its outstanding characteristics is its fragrant aroma and flavor and a mellow sweet aftertaste.

Other Notes: Silver Needle white tea is made by the single bud plucked in early spring. After naturally withering to around 10% water content in the leaf, it will undergo charcoal baking to final dry. Silver needle has fruity fragrance and pleasant mellow taste. It is rich in minerals and antioxidants.
Bai Hao Yin Zhen is produced in Zhenghe, Fuding, Songxi and Jianyang regions of Fujian provinces. A few regions in Yunnan also produce Bai Hao Yin Zhen. But the Yunnan Bai Hao Yin Zhen is not as good in quality as the Fujian tea – the main differences being that Yunnan tea leaf is darker in color and not so full bodied.
