About this tea

Estate Name: Da Xue Shan Forestry Mountain
Farming Methods: Naturally grown from seed to tree in a forest environment without human interference. Hand Plucking, one bud two to three leaves. (Wild tea tree plucking is not as precise as that of a regular garden tea. It is much more difficult work harvesting the tea leaves, and the farmers are inclined to obtain more leaves in every single plucking)
Production: Plucking – Slight withering – Frying – Rolling – Sunshine drying
Certification: SGS certified, EU pesticide compliant
Other notes:
Our Yunnan Wild Tree Pu erh is made with leaves from wild tea trees grown in the deep natural forest. The leaves are harvested in early March – the earliest flush. In Yunnan, it is very dry and sunny at this time of the year, which is ideal for making pu erh tea. The tea has a pure, creamy taste with a fantastic orchid flavour. This tea is very rich in antioxidants. It is a tea of choice for discerning tea drinkers. An ideal pu-erh for aging, as it will bring out a richer, more mellow flavour and taste as it matures with age
